The aim of this study is to investigate the characteristics gas-non-Newtonian liquids flow patterns in square microchannels. microchannels that used was made by acrylic material with horizontal orientation and side length 8x10-4 m. Water, Air, Carboxymethyl Cellulose 0.2%wt (CMC 0.2%wt) aquoeus solution, Xanthan Gum (XG solution were as liquid test. Moreover, nitrogen gas superficial velocity varied 0.1-1 m/s. Then, variation 0.26-7.8 differential pressure transducer measure drop, which occurs Whereas, recorded using high-speed camera. Furthermore pattern video analyzed image processing method obtain charcteristics. two-phase drop all gas-Newtonian/non-Newtonian flows increase increasing JL same JG. occur are bubbly, slug, slug-annular churn. viscosity rheological parameter test influenced characteristic patterns. plotted map suitable transisiton lines based on previous study.
